As part of World Alzheimer’s Month, residents at Pinewood Lodge have been making ‘Memories Matter’ ribbons to be put on sale in the home!

Pinewood Lodge’s silver-themed country and western garden party was a huge success! Family and friends joined the residents for a dance while the entertainers performed some favourite country songs and the weather was on-side for the day so the ice cream van went down at a treat!

Pinewood Lodge residents had a fantastic exercise session with Sarah Donnelly, she had everyone moving and singing and made sure they all enjoyed themselves!

Pinewood Lodge residents visited All Saints Church last week to watch the Watford Accordion Band and were hugely impressed with the performance! They played beautifully and the residents recognised some of their music, leaving them singing all the way home on the bus.

The staff and residents at Pinewood Lodge said a big fairway to their local vicar Ricky from All Saints Church. Ricky visits the home to perform a service every month and has done for the last 3 years, over that time he’s become part of the Pinewood Lodge family so they’re very sad to see him go!

Members of the Pinewood Lodge day centre enjoyed a lovely meal at Squires, looking at the flowers and smelling the herbs before bringing a few back with them to plant at the Q Club!

Pinewood Lodge had a great turnout for their open day! They started off with entertainment from Dave Brierley in the morning who soon had residents dancing and singing along!

Pinewood Lodge residents were joined by fitness instructor Sarah Donnelly for a fun-filled fitness class! Residents who took part tried out all the different exercises and said they hadn’t expected it to be so much fun!

Pinewood Lodge residents and day centre members came together to remember those who lost their lives in WWII. They reminisced and shared stories about their experiences in the war and looked over old pictures together.
