Q-Club

Q-Club

Welcome to Vesta Lodge Q Club. Open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm, our St Albans club has been designed to provide care during the day for older people who are still living in their own home or with family, perhaps with the support of either a professional carer or family and friends.

This service is ideal if you are caring for a loved one but need to take some time off for yourself or just want to know that your loved one is being fully taken care of for the day

Most of our day care centres are attached to one of our care homes which means that many of the facilities available to our full time residents are also available to our day care guests - such as a visit to the hairdresser (booked directly with the centre).

The team aim to provide a calming yet stimulating and safe environment and organise a wide range of activities for guests to enjoy including arts and crafts sessions, cooking, gardening, board games and more.

Jade Toyloy
Home Manager
My name is Jade Toyloy and I've been working in the health and social care sector for many years. I've worked in different roles, in different care settings, gaining a wealth of experience in learning disabilities, elderly care, palliative care, nursing and residential care.
Each day is different and hosts meaningful moments. I thrive on finding different ways to enhance the person centred care that we provide to our residents.

Ebunoluwa Awofisayo
Deputy Manager
The Deputy Home Manager shares responsibility with the Home Manager for running the home. Deputy Manager’s will each bring their own skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things while others focus largely on care. However, whether they look at it from a business or care perspective, the focus of the Deputy is always to ensure that their home is offering the very best quality of life for our residents. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Home Managers are capable and driven to providing the best of everything for their residents.
Ecko Eghobamien
Chef Manager
The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes. They also create and provide fine dining events, using Quantum Care’s award-winning Dining Club concept.

Solomon Florinel
Housekeeping Manager

Keeping the team of Housekeepers running as it should is the Housekeeping Manager. Supervising and organising their teams is just part of it as these Managers work alongside them to keep the home clean and inviting. The comfort of residents is the most important thing to our Housekeeping Managers which is why they work so hard to create an environment in which residents can’t help but feel at home.

Amila Blazevic
Administrator

My name is Amila and I am one of two Administrators at Vesta lodge. I enjoy engaging with residents, family members and staff, buildings new relationships along the way.

In my role I assist with Recruitment, Payroll and help with finances within the home, along side many other administration duties. I really like the fact that no two days are alike.

Susan Penn
Administrator

The Administrator will focus on the smooth running of the home; in whatever area they may be needed. From greeting visitors to recruiting, the Administrator is present in many aspects of life in the home, even if you don’t always see them! To be successful in the role, our Administrators have to be flexible and calm, able to multi-task and always keen to take on a new challenge. It’s often the Administrator that brings the IT skills to a home, helping them to keep everything organised. Above that though, Administrators are communicators, able to speak confidently and listen closely to everyone from Managers and Care Workers to visitors and residents.

Mutahara Khanom
Receptionist

The Receptionist plays a key part in keeping the home operating as it should. The role involves everything from dealing with phone enquiries to showing around prospective residents. Organisational and communication skills are a must for a Receptionist as it’s these qualities that allow them to make life in the home easier for their colleagues and residents. Often the first person you’ll speak to when you come to the home, the Receptionist represents the company with a professional manner, friendly approach, and commitment to high-quality care.
