10th June, Age UK will be giving a talk on what services they can offer for venerable adults in their own home.

In late 2013, the local council sent a letter suggesting that it would be rather nice (and beneficial) to extend our activities to the wider community. At the same time we received word that the neighbouring school had begun keeping chickens, and had received the same letter.

Last week we were delighted to receive a visit from Councillor Sandy Walkington to Vesta Lodge and Fosse House. Councillor Walkington is the councillor for St Albans South, and was keen to visit both homes in his area to meet staff and residents.

Fosse House care home in Ermine Close supported Dementia Awareness Week by opening their doors to a host of furry (and not so furry!) friends to raise money for the charity.
