Tye Green Lodge’s garden party at the end of July was a huge success, the weather was perfect for the occasion and the BBQ went down a treat! The wine and soft drinks stall was a real hit and Jodie Stone made sure the garden was filled with music throughout the event.

Kingswood Scouts Group contacted Tye Green Lodge and invited the residents to join them in a visit to the local Ada Cole Stables for rescue horses. The trip was part of the Scouts ongoing work to become more involved with their local community and was something the residents greatly enjoyed!

Two residents of Tye Green Lodge have appeared in the Harlow Star following their 75th wedding anniversary! Married in 1941, Peggy and Vic now live happily together in the care home. They received a letter from the Queen to mark the occasion and were very happy with it too!

The Garden Room at Tye Green Lodge was quickly filled up for the home’s monthly Sunday Service. Phil Grey and his team come into the home to give a wonderful service, complete with a puppet show! Afterwards they stayed behind to have a chat and a cup of tea with the residents.

Sometimes our residents can struggle with getting out to the shops, so at Tye Green Lodge the shops have been brought to them! Jill and Ingrid set up a shop in the home with plenty of different choices including handbags, purses, shoes, jewellery and clothes for residents to browse and buy.

Once a year the residents at Tye Green Lodge bring in the garden ornaments inside and give them a fresh coat of paint, a messy job but always plenty of fun with wonderful final results!

Residents at Tye Green Lodge have enjoyed another of their regular visits to the local garden centre. It was, as ever, a very enjoyable day out looking at the flowers and visiting the animals in the Pets Area outside!

Residents at Tye Green Lodge were treated to a taster session with Louise from Unilever. These sessions give residents a chance to sample different meals and score them to give some feedback on what dishes they would like in the homes.
