Mountbatten Lodge news

To all at Mountbatten Lodge, I would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff who cared for my dad, especially Mark.

It's going to be an amazing day... There will be a public buffet from 11am onwards that everyone is welcome to attend. The home are also welcoming people from Sheltered Living to come along.

Upcoming events at Mountbatten Lodge: 25th may at 11am - café entertainment to be delivered by James Lebec 6th June between 2.30pm - 4.30pm summer fete (Disney theme) 9th June at 2.30pm Connaught opera in sun lounge 10th June – trip to South end 19th June – café entertainment – 11am Freddy b 21st

On 6th May Mountbatten had the Showtime Players come in and entertain the residents! Based in Warner's End, Hemel Hempstead, they are aged from 65 to 85. Their performance was amazing and it was especially wonderful when the 85 year olds sang solos.

The Baptist church hold a service at Mountbatten lodge once a month. They often bring their ventriloquist puppets to tell a light hearted story. This time they talked about celebrations in our life.. then they talked about the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection.

Here is what the Activities Team said about the event: "We celebrated St George's day in our café today with lots of baked cakes and dragon flags on the ceiling which we had coloured in with our residents … Freddy B also came to entertain us and he was absolutely fabulous and sang an array of songs

The residents and staff of Mountbatten Lodge celebrated the Queen's birthday with lots of union jacks in the café. They held “Last Night at the Proms” and sang along to Jerusalem, Land of hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and then God Save the Queen..

Mountbatten Lodge were completely blow away with the magnificent performance from Maria & The Connaught Opera.

Easter was celebrated wonderfully at Mountbatten Lodge!
